Before the first word

Open the official experience and join a server. The public record lists a maximum of 40 players. You drop onto an open grassy island surrounded by ocean. The creator is the Roblox group Survive Your Ideas.

A match is not one word. Many words can land before someone wins. Guides describe a rotation that gives every player a writing turn before anyone gets a second turn. A separate report describes a short roulette-style pick, and store listings mention a Write Next option, so do not treat the seat as something you can never influence.

When you are not the Writer

  1. Watch the event banner as soon as a word lands. Lava's warning tells players to climb. A chase and a flood do not ask for the same movement.
  2. Move during the gap before the next Writer. Older effects stay in the world when a new word arrives.
  3. Keep more than one way out. A platform that beats a wave can still be a bad place if something is falling or already standing on it.

When the prompt is yours

Enter the word and send it. Pick an effect you can also survive from your current spot. The official examples are Tsunami, Dinosaur, Nuke and Tacos. Typing something the game does not recognize is a gamble: guides say it either uses a nearby known effect or spawns a named NPC.

Desktop inputs guides list

Player guides describe ordinary desktop controls: W A S D to move, Space to jump, Left Shift to sprint, and the mouse for menus and the writing box. The official description does not publish a control diagram.

A clean first goal

Write any accepted word once. That is the My First Idea badge. Winning the match, as the last player alive, is Champion. You do not need a game pass for either one.

Read word warnings before you memorize a long list, and set a five-item loadout in items and spins.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you actually do in a match?

The official description says one random player writes a word each round and that word comes to life. Words stack, and the last player alive wins. Servers hold up to 40 players.

Is the game free?

The experience is free to join. Cash Meta Words, normal Spins and ordinary words do not require Robux. Premium Meta Words, the 2 Words pass and Lucky Spins are optional purchases, and their live prices belong on the purchase screen.

Can every word I type do something unique?

No. Recognized words use the game's effect. Guides describe an unrecognized word as either snapping to a nearby effect or spawning an NPC named after the text. Roblox can also filter an input.

How is a Meta Word different from a normal word?

Meta Words are unlocked in the lobby and entered with a leading slash, such as /undo. The same letters without the slash are an ordinary word and do not use the Meta Word effect.

What should I chase first?

Write one word for My First Idea, then learn a few warnings well enough to stay alive. Champion is a match win. Survivor is 60 words in one match. Collector is 150 Word Diary entries. None of those official goals require a pass.
